Greek Sororities
Most students in US colleges and universities belong to a fraternity or a sorority group. These groups have names which use two or three Greek alphabets and have many nicknames. Kappa Kappa Gamma is a college women’s sorority group, which was founded in the year 1870 in Illinois. It is a very exclusive and well known sorority in the United States. The girls belonging to this Kappa Kappa Gamma are usually known to be rich, classy, snobs but all rounder. Thus, they are nicknamed Visa Visa Daddy MasterCard.
The Kappa Alpha Theta sorority has 128 chapters spanning across US and Canada universities. This was one of the oldest sororities and was founded in 1870 in Indiana, by four women students. Today the sorority has a philanthropic arm and supports educational programs. Twin stars, black and gold pansy and kite are symbols of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Pronounced as TKE, Tau Kappa Epsilon is the largest active social fraternity with chapters in United States and Canada. The colors of the fraternity are crimson red and silver gray. Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity was founded in 1899 in Illinois University. This fraternity has ‘Red carnation’ as its flower and ‘Equilateral triangle’ as its symbol.
